Directions | How to make Baked Karela Chips
Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Wash karelas and nicely slice them into thin circular chips. Prepare the masala by mixing salt, chilli powder, amchur powder, dhania powder, turmeric and minced garlic in a small bowl. Now take a large bowl, add karela slices and mix them well with oil. Now add above prepared masala mix thoroughly so that every piece is coated evenly with the masala. Take an oven safe baking plate and wrap it with aluminium foil. Now spread the mixed karela slices one at a time evenly spaced so that heat is distributed uniformly. Set the oven to 400 degrees and timer for 15 mins. Keep an eye on the chips every five minutes to make sure they are not burnt. Bake them until they are golden brown in color. Turn off the oven and take out the baking tray and let the chips come to room temperature if needed. Place the chips in a serving bowl. These can be served as a snack or side dish for your lunch or dinner.
