Directions | How to make Besan Billala Pulusu
For besan peices: Add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric to besan and mix well. Take a saucepan add a teaspoon of oil and heat it. Add 1 cup of water to the saucepan and bring to boil. Add Besan flour mix to the boiling water and mix well, take care not to have lump, mix vigorously to avoid lumps. Reduce the flame to low soon after adding besan flour. Cook the besan for 2-3 mins and spread the cooked paste on a greased pan or a plate. let it cool and cut into diamond shapes of desired size.(keep a greased pan ready, before cooking besan) For Pulusu: Heat oil in a saucepan and add sliced onion, fry for a minute and add ginger garlic paste. Once the onions turn brown, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. cook for about 20 seconds and add tamarind extract. Add around 4 cups of water and bring to boil, let the water boil for about 15-20 minute on medium to low flame. Add garam masala, freshly prepared coriander powder and finally add the besan peices. Cook for aroung 10 minutes in low flame. Garnish with fresh corainder. Serve with steamed rice.
