Directions | How to make Bisi Bele Bath
1)Wash Toor Daal and cook it. 2)Wash rice and keep aside. 3)Dry roast-----Chana daal,Urad daal,Coriander seeds,Cinnamon stick, clove Cumin seeds,Marathi moggu,Cardamom, pepper&Red chillies.Do this on low medium heat.As you remove from heat add hing.Make a fine powder along with coconut.Keep aside. 3)Heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel and sliced onion fry it nicely.Add Chopped Tomatoes. 4)When tomatoes are done add chopped veggies and mix well. 5)Add washed rice and salt.mix well. 6)Add tamarind juice,Grinded powder,Garam masala &sambhar powder.Mix well.Add water and mix nicely, 7)Transfer all the contents in cooker and cook well.(if you do not have cooker, cover the lid and cook on a low flame) 8)When it is done you will see its bit watery consistency dont worry that's what we want trasfer in other vessel.give it a mix.You will see it will look like a dosa batter consistency.(Generally i like more watery so i add more water) 9)In a pan heat ghee,Mustard seeds let that splutter & then add curry leaves. Add this temering to rice and mix well. Serve hot with melted ghee, papadam,,Cucumber raita and pickle of your choice.More the ghee more the taste..forget the calories and relish this dish.Overwhelmed by the blend & flavor of aromatic spices anyone will devour Bisi Bele Bath in moments and thats not an exaggeration..:)
