Directions | How to make Bittergourd Curry(Pavakai Kulumbu)
 
Soak tamarind in water 15min and make watery. orelse keep it in microwave for 2 minutes and squeeze it to make watery. cut the bittergourd ,onion,green chilli,garlic in to small pieces . Take a pressure cooker and add onion,grren chilli,garlic,bittergourd,tamarind juice which we squeezed,tumeric powder,chilli powder,jaggery ,salt,and add water (as much u want bcos tamarind itself is watery when we squeezed,so add water as neccessary). Leave it for two or three whistles............................... Open it and serve it hot with white rice or curd rice.
Recipe Tips Serving Ideas
To make thick curry or kulambhu just keep it on stove for few minutes (as much thickness u want) without the cooker top cover or lid,just the vessel alone It is best served with white rice.
