1.soak the beans overnight.hang in a piece of muslin to sprout (about 12 hours). 2.boil in the same water in which they were soaked with green chillies until tender. 3.heat oil.add mustard seeds as they crackle add chopped onions.when onions are golden brown add turmeric,red chillies,asafoetida,and goda masala or coriander-cumin powder. 4.add boiled beans and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. 5.add tamarind,jaggery and salt. 6.when cooked serve hot garnished with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
