Directions | How to make Fruit Pulav
 
Grind together : Almonds, Cashewnuts, Poppy seeds, Ginger and Garlic. Wash and soak rice for 10 min. Heat Ghee in pressure cooker and fry Cardamom, bayleaf and cinnamon. Drain the rice, add to the pressure cooker and fry for 2 min. Heat the milk, boil the water and pour into the cooker. Add Salt, sugar and ground paste. Reduce flame. Cover and pressure cook for 10 min. Slightly fry the raisins simultaneously. After removing the presssure cooker from fire, add diced fruits (you can even use the tins available in supermarkets), fried raisins to the rice. Mix gently and serve hot.
Recipe Tips Serving Ideas
Instead of cutting and dicing the fresh fruits, you can use the mixed fruit tins available in the supermarkets. Do not forget to strain the syrup before using. Goes well with Navrathan Kurma.
