Ingredients used in Ghee Rice
• Basmati rice - 2 cups.
• Warm water - 4 cups.
• Cinnamon stick broken (1 inch) - 1 small.
• Bay leaves - 2 number.
• Cloves - 2 number.
• Black peppercorns - 1 tea spoon.
• Medium onions finely sliced - 2 number.
• Ghee - 4 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan till hot. Add the whole spices and saute it till nice aroma comes.
  • Add the onion slices and saute for a few seconds on high flame. Lower the heat and saute on medium level till the onions are transparent.
  • Add the rice and saute for a minute. Then pour in the warm water and add the salt.
  • Bring to a boil, cover and cook on a low flame for about 15 minutes or till the rice is done and all the water has been evaporated. Separate the grains of rice with a fork.

Serve it hot.

dis recipe also tastes very good but adding of green peas n makin use of dalda instead of cookin oil improves flavour. try it!
