Trim off the ends of each bean and cut it into 2 or 3 pieces. Rinse well and add to a large pot of boiling salted water. Cover, reduce heat to moderate and cook for 30 minutes. Drain off all but 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid, and add the remaining ingredients except for the corinader. Blend gently and cook for 25 minutes. Add the corinader and cook 5 more minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning. The sauce should be thick and each bean glistening and coated. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
