1. Boil the gram in water till well cooked.2. mash well. 3. add sliced green chillies, ginger, turmeric, salt tamarind juice or cocum, and jaggery. 4. boil for half an hour over slow fire. remove. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan. 6. add mustard seeds fenugreek and asafoetida .7. as the seeds splutter, pour over dal. 8. mix well.
