Directions | How to make Long Squash Curry(Sorakaaya)
 
1.Remove the peel of long squash and cut into small pieces. 2.Finely chop onions and tomatoes and keep aside. 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin till they crack out, then add channa dal, when it gets light brown add curry leaves. 4.Add chopped onions when they are light brown add long squash and let it cook for 15 min. 5.Mean while roast peanuts and grind (peanuts,coconut,garlic and coriander powder) and keep it aside. 6.After 15 min(long squash is cooked) add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt . when they are cooked add water(as you like, if you want too much gravy add more water) and add the grinded powder into it. 7.Let it cook, till the oil starts oozing out. 8.Switch off the flame and add chopped coriander.
