Ingredients used in Majjiga Chaaru
• Buttermilk - 4 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chillies(slit) - 5 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Chopped corriander - 1 tablespoons.
• Curry leaves - 1 tablespoons.
• Oil - 1 tablespoons.
• Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoons.
Method:
Churn the buttermilk with little water and salt into a smooth consistent mixture. For tempering: Take some oil in a hollow vessel, after its heat enough add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. After they splutter add slitted green chillies, curry leaves and some turmeric. After they are toasted, add the buttermilk mixture. Wait for few seconds and finish it off with chopped coriander. Serving suggestions: This goes extremely well with any fried side dishes like vahchefs Syuffed karela fry, bengali eggplant fry and rice.
