Directions | How to make Microwave Kalakand
 
In a microwave safe container add the ricotta cheese, condensed milk and elaichi powder. Mix all this together. Put this mixture in the microwave and microwave it on high power for 15mins by removing and stirring after every 3mins. At the end of 15mins check to see if the consistency is right, If it needs to be more thick, microwave it for another two mins. Meanwhile, grease a square tray/plate with the ghee and pour the kalakand mixture onto the tray. Now slightly crush the saffron and add it to the top of the mixture. Spread the silver leaf on top if needed. Also sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top. Let it set for an hour. Cut into desired shape and serve. Note: If you want the kalakand to set a li'l more than you could put it in the fridge for 2hours.
Serving Ideas
Can also be served with chocolate sauce and hazel nuts on top to give it a different twist. In this case, one could skip adding the saffron,pistachios and silver leaf.
