Directions | How to make PIDLY

Soak Moong Dhal ( whole) and per boiled rice for about 8 to 12 hours. Grind them along with ginger, green chili and coriander just like pesarettu. Add salt. Mix well and keep in idly stand after smearing with a little oil for good separation. Steam for about 15- 20 mts. If you need ultra soft, you can add quarter spoon of " ENO" for raising the batter. Or get the same effect by allowing batter to rest for overnight in warm condition. But good enough as it is with freshly ground batter.
