Directions | How to make Pavakkai Kozhambu
 
Heat oil (a little more than usual used for tadka and splutter mustard and red chilli. Add curry leaves. Saute finely chopped onions followed by garlic (crush them and saute for a nice flavor). Now add the tomatoes and saute for a while. Add sambhar pwdr and mix. Follow it with bitter gourd and let the mixture ccok till tomatoes are smashed and oil separates. Add little water if it turns too dry. Once this is cooked add the extracted tamarind juice(extract in atleast 2-3 cups of water). Let it boil and cook for atleast 15 minutes. Now add jaggery to this and cook for a minute. And its ready!! Add this to hot rice with a spoon of ghee and yummy!!
Serving Ideas
Serve with hot rice adding a spoon of ghee!!
