Directions | How to make Radish Puttu
Soak the Bengal grams for 2 hrs and drain all the water. Grind it along with red chili, fennel seed and salt to a coarse texture and keep asaid. Shred the radish and cook with salt and turmeric power. Don’t add water while cooking and keep asaid In a frying pan add 3 tsp of oil and fry the onion and curry leaves. Fry the onion till it transparent. Then add Bengal gram mixture and cooked radish . Cook it in medium flame for 20 mints. Don’t allow it to stick in the pan. add oil when required. Then simmer and cook until it resembles the texture shown. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve as a side for rice.
Recipe Tips
Instead of radish we can use okra. For okra cut the okra into small pieces and add oil in a frying pan and fry it. and add with Bengal gram mixture.
