Directions | How to make Salmon Bhuna (Bengali Style)
 
Cut the Salmon into 3 equal pieces. Take half of your salt and Turmeric powder and season the Salmon with those for 20 mins. Salmons get dry very easily. So you don't want to season them for longer. Put oil in your frying pan and fry the seasoned Salmon Pieces 3 mins on each side on medium heat. Take the Salmon out of the pan and keep separately. There should be some oil left in the pan. Put chopped Garlic in the pan and wait 30 seconds than put chopped onion in to it and fry till little brown. You can through little salt in it to cook faster. Now lower the flame and put Chopped chili, Ginger-Garlic paste. After 1 minute put Turmeric powder, Coriander powder and chili powder. Now chop your tomato into small pieces and put into the pan. After 1 mins it should look like a nice paste and now put your vegetable into the pan with 1/2 cup of water along with nicely chopped Coriander Lief. Cover the pan and cook 3 mins in mid high flame. Now put the salmon and cover the pan. Cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame. Now stop the flame right away but keep the pan on the oven.
Recipe Tips Serving Ideas
The key for this dish is that Salmon has to be fresh and can not be over-cooked. So chop your vegetables small enough pieces so that they can be cooked quickly. Serve with rice or spaghetti.
