Directions | How to make Shahi Aloo Biryani
 
Soak the rice for 30 mins. Meanwhile, chop the onions and tomatoes in cubes. Chop potatoes in circles. Put oil in pan, add shahi jeera, onions, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, and whole garam masala.Let it cook till onions become soft. Add biryani masala to this.Put tomatoes and some red chilly powder.Add sliced potatoes.Let this cook till potatoes are done.Add some curd and kasoori methi at the end.Keep this aside. Cook the rice till it is 50% done.Now take a pan and put the layer of above prepared sabji there and above it put the rice.Put some color and grated cheese and paneer cubes.Again repeat the same with remaining rice and sabji.Top it up with saffron, cheese and paneer.Let it cook on low flame for 15 min till the rice is done.
