urad dal,chana dal, cumin seeds,mustard seeds,curry leaves,garlic clove,asafotida for seasoning

Directions | How to make Tomato Pappu
Boil toor dal,tomatoe pieces,onion peices,green chillis,tamarind,turmeric,chilli powder and cumin seeds in a pressure cooker untill the mixture becomes soft and mushy.Add salt to the mixture and mash it.Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds,urad dal, chana dal, asfoitida,crushed garlic and curry leaves and let fry for a minute.Now add the dal mixture and cook it for two minutes.Serve with hot rice or chapathi.
