Aloo Jeera is an easy dish made with potato cubes tempered with cumin seeds giving a slightly nutty flavour to the dish.

Recipe of Aloo Jeera

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Garam masala  5 Grams
Tomatoes  100 Grams
Red chilli powder  20 Grams
Turmeric  10 Grams
Garlic  30 Grams
Ginger  20 Grams
Cumin seeds  10 Grams
Oil  50 ml
Potatoes  200 Grams
Coriander powder  20 Grams
Coriander leaves  10 Grams
Salt   To Taste

  1. Boil potatoes and dice them. Chop onions, garlic, ginger, coriander and the tomatoes.
  2. 2eat oil and saut cumin seeds until they crackle. Add garlic and ginger and saut until golden.
  3. Stir in chopped ginger and add the potatoes. Sprinkle turmeric and chilli powder and stir. Add tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes.
