1. Clean fish. Keep mackerei whole but cut pomfret into large pieces. 2. Make gashes in the fish. 3. Grind togeather red chillies, fennel and salt. 4. Smear over fish over. 5. Apply oil on banana leaves . Line a pen with these leaves.Place fishn over. 6. Add vinger, cover with banana leaves and put lid on.Put live coal on lid. Cook over gentle heat till fish is cooked.
