BUDAMKAYA LEMON CUCUMBER DAL

Ingredients used in BUDAMKAYA LEMON CUCUMBER DAL
• Small yellow cucumber - 3-4 number.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Onions(finely chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Green chillies (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tomato(chopped) - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Red chili powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Moong dal - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Soak moong dal for about 15-20 minutes and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add onions, curry leaves, green chilies, salt and saute it.
  • To it add ginger garlic paste, tomato, turmeric powder, small yellow cucumber pieces along with seeds, red chili powder and saute it.
  • Add soaked moong dal, water and mix nicely, later cook it until it become soft with lid on it.

Now budamkaya lemon cucumber dal is ready to serve with roti, pulka and rice.
