My name is Deepa. I am from Mangalore. I had tasted a recipe called "Chicken puli munchi". I tried to replicate that dish by the taste of it. It does taste something like that.

Recipe of Chicken dry curry

Garlic 6 Clove
Ginger 1 Piece
Coconut 3 Tablespoons
Methi Seeds 7 Numbers
Jeera 1/2 Teaspoons
Coriander Seeds 1 Tablespoons
Red Chillies 10 Numbers
Chciken 1 Lbs
Small Piece Of Tamarind 1 Numbers
Onion 1 Numbers


Dry roast red chilies,coriander, jeera, methi . Dry roast coconut seperately.Make a paste of these items with ginger, garlic, tamerind and salt. Marinate this paste to chicken with lemon and haldi. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Take oil and fry onions and lots of curry leaves. Put marinated chicken. Simmer and slowly cook chicken on low flame till its done and fry it on high flame. Do not add water while cooking.
