Recipe of Corn Masala Rice

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Basmati Rice 1 Cup
Corn Kernels 1 Cup
Green Peas 1 Cup
Cashews Halved 10-12 Numbers
Chilli Powder 1 Teaspoons
Sambhar Masala 1 Teaspoons
Garam Masala 1/2 Teaspoons
Sugar 1 Teaspoons
Turmeric 1/4 Teaspoons
Salt To Taste
Lemon Juice 1 Numbers
Oil Or Ghee 2 Tablespoons
Each Cummin And Mustard Seeds 1/2 Teaspoons

Directions

In a heavy saucepan heat the ghee. Add the cashews and fry till light brown. Remove.

To same oil add cumin and mustard seeds to splutter. Add the corn, peas, rice and all dry masalas and 5 cups water. Cover and cook till almost done.

Add lemon juice, sugar, coriander and cashews.

Cover and cook till rice is done and no water is left.

Masalas may be added as per desi red spiciness.

Serve hot with curds.

I dont understand why every recipie on this site has south indian touch.... i hope thai noddles dont have sambhar masala....ha ha ha
