Peel off the potatoes and cut each potato into 4 pieces. Grind the onions, garlic and ginger into a smooth paste. Grind the cumin seeds, chillies and bay leaves separately. Grind the cinnamon and cardamoms into a fine paste. Put 1/4th cup oil in a pan. Fry the crabs in it and keep it aside. Heat oil and fry th potatoes in it. When the potatoes turn red add onion,garlic and ginger paste to it and fry. After 2 minutes add the cumin seeds and chilli paste and fry it. When the spice give a nice flavour pour 3cup water to it. Put the crabs into the pan and cover the lid. When it is cooked add tomatoes to it. After 5 minutes add the cardamom and cinnamon paste and remove it from flame.
