1.To make the custard sause take 1/2 litre milk. Bring to the boil and add the sugar.
2.Take 6 teaspoons custard powder, dilute it in 2 table spoons of milk to form a paste and add this to the milk mixture. Keep strirring till it becomes thick. Take it off the fire, let it cool. Then add 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and 1/4 cup fresh cream.
3.In a serving dish, spread a little custard. Arrange the apple balls and pour thr rest of the custard on the top it. Decrate it with the chopped pistachios. Serve chilled.
