vegetable oil  2 Tablespoons
cardamom pods  6 Numbers
cumin  1 Teaspoons
fresh root ginger, peeled and chopped  1 Numbers
garlic  2 Clove
green chilli  1 Numbers
onion  1 Numbers
plaice fillets, skinned  4 Numbers
lemon juice  1 Numbers

1. Heat the oil in large frying pan. Fry the cardamom, cumin, ginger and garlic for 30 seconds. Add the chilli, if using, and the onion.

2. Fry until the onion is golden brown.

3. Add the fish and lime juice. Reduce the heat and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until the flesh just flakes.
