Ingredients of green gram vada

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Oil  250 ml
Coriander leaves  1/2 Cup
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam)  1/2 Tablespoons
Curry leaves  1 Numbers
Green chillies(chopped)  1/2 Tablespoons
Curd(not sour)  1000 Grams
Greengram with out husk  250 Grams
Salt   To Taste
Ghee  2 Tablespoons
Ginger(finely chopped)  3 Tablespoons

Directions
1)Soak the greengram over night.

2)Make it into a thick, some what hard dough.

3)Add salt.

4)Heat oil in a frying bowl.

5)Make medium sized Vadas with the dough and fry them until brown.

6)Put them in water for about 5 mins and squeeze each to remove as much water as possible.

:- Do not squeeze too hard to split them waste.

7)Beat the curd into lussy and add the vadas to it. Keep aside.

8)Take a frying pan, put ghee in it and add musrered seeds, jeera, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger and splutter well.

9)Add the above seasoning to the curd - vada bowl.

10)Allow to become tender.

11)Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
