Crispy Curry Leaf Chicken Fry is an excellent and amazing dish that is fast to cook, simple to make with very few ingredients and less time consuming to prepare. This is an awesome and delicious recipe for all those who love the flavor of curry leaves fried in oil as this Chicken fry is fried with lots of curry leaves to make it more aromatic and fragrant.

Curry leaf is one of the very scented fresh herb and an essential ingredient in Indian cooking especially in Southern India. The curry leaves are widely used in most of the dishes from starters to a variety of main course dishes. Fresh green curry leaves are tempered and thrown into a variety of Chutneys and used in a variety of dal recipes like sambar, rasam, curry leaves fried rice etc.

In fact, the fresh green curry leaves are very fragrant, aromatic and full of flavor. The curry leaves are added to most of the Indian recipes mainly to muse the flavor of this magical herb. However if cooked using the right cooking technique, you could extract all the health benefits of curry leaves. For preparing this dish, take a bowl and beat an egg well and add some salt and dissolve some corn flour in it. Add some red chilli powder (as much as you can eat, your choice if you need the dish very spicy or okay spicy), ginger – garlic and good amount of curry leaves to infuse its aroma in the chicken. Mix all the ingredients well and marinate the chicken pieces into this marinade.

Place this marinated chicken pieces into the refrigerated for at least an hour. After an hour, remove the marinated chicken pieces from the refrigerator and shallow or deep fry the chicken pieces until it turns golden brown and crispy. You could also grill it in a pre heated grill. Plate them in a dish and squeeze lime juice over if desired to give that extra kick and zest.

Serve hot with any type of naan, rotis or rice. This could also be eaten as a starter.  Curry leaves gives an amazing dark green color, shine and have a distinctive aroma and taste to this dish. You could also add extra crispy fried curry leaves over the fried chicken pieces which would give stronger flavor and hit your palates with its magical touch. Normally many love cooking this dish in a grill as it takes very less oil, quick to prepare and delectable.

Apart from talking so much about curry leaves, there are few of us who simply remove and throw the leaf from our food and not consume it. Well, remember that, it is consumable and helps in doing wonders into your system. The nutritional benefits and its nutritional values is something that we all need to be aware off as well.
