The key idea to have a healthy diet is to avoid extra ghee, butter, cheese and oils. The batter for Adai is ground coarsely than the regular dosa batter and this batter does not require any fermentation. The Adais are prepared slightly thicker than the normal dosa and they consume a little more oil as the batter is ground coarse. Adai can also be eaten by itself without any accompaniment as the batter is spicy or serve with coconut chutney. Or else it can also be eaten with a bit of butter and jaggery.
