Authentic south Indian recipe
Heat oil in a kadai and add cinnamon and then add curry leaves. Then add onions and one green chilly to it, followed by carrots,beans add potato. Saute it for few mins and then add tomato and let it saute for few mins and then add turmeric and salt to it. Then add water to it and close the vessels and allow vegetables to boil. Meanwhile grind coconut ,saunf, half of the coriander leaves,green chilly and dhalia together into a paste. When the vegetable is boiled add this ground mixture to it and let it boil for Sometime and check for salt and granish with remaining coriander leaves. Serve hot with steaming idlis and kal dosai.
This a authentic side dish especially made in south Indian villages for steaming idlis and dosas.. you get ti the street corner shops mostly.. a nice combination with idli.. try it out..
