Recipe of Khichdi

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Oil 1 Tablespoons
Garam Masala 1/2 Tablespoons
Salt 1 Tablespoons
Turmeric Powder 1/2 Teaspoons
Hing small Pinch
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 Tablespoons
Tomatoes 2 Small
Onion 1 Large
Split Lentils Masoor Dal 1 Cup
Rice 2 Cup
Green Chillies 2 Numbers
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
Coriander- Cumin Powder 1/2 Tablespoons

Directions

Wash Rice and lentils together(Proportion 2:1) Cut onions,tomatoes and green chilli In a pan take little oil, add cumin seeds and a pinch of hing.As the cumin seeds starts spluttering add onions.When onions are slightly fried, add green chillies and ginger garlic paste. Add tomatoes and all the above remaining spices.Fry for 2-3 mins then add rice and masoor dal and mix it well. Add water and let the rice and dal cook.Keep checking to make sure that there is enough water for rice and dal to cook and khichdi is ready.
