Description: Mix Vegetable poriyal is mix of all vegetables cooked and tossed with freshly grated coconut. It is also known as porial/dry curry/koora/sabji and goes well accompanied with rice as a side dish and also with any type of chapathis/parathas/rotis.

Recipe of Mix - Vegetable Poriyal

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Chopped Coriander 1 Springs
Carrots 200 Grams
Beans 200 Grams
Curry Leaves 1 Springs
Fresh Grated Coconut
Green Chillies 1 Teaspoons
Hing 1 Pinch
Urad Dal 1 Teaspoons
Turmeric Powder 1 Teaspoons
Salt 1 To Taste
Red Chilli 3 Piece
Onions 2 Numbers
Mustard Seeds 1 Teaspoons
Cashew Nuts 2 Tablespoons
Cumin 1 Teaspoons
Oil 1 Tablespoons
Channadal Split Bengal Gram 1 Tablespoons

Directions

  1. Wash carrots and beans properly and boil till half done (optional you can cook directly just cut them small)
  2. Heat oil, add mustard, red chilli, cumin, channadal, cashew, urad dal. 
  3. Add hing, turmeric powder, onion chopped, chiliies, curry leaves and salt. 
  4. Add vegetables saute till they are cooked.
  5. Add grated coconut. Saute it well. 
  6. Serve hot with rice or pulkha

Hi I just wanted to thank you for posting all the recipes. Since I am a newly wed it really helps to see these videos which make it much easier for me to learn & prepare dishes! Also my my is happy that I don't call her as much to bug her for recipes :) Thanks so much!!!
