Ingredients used in moong dal payasam
• Any nuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Ghee (or) butter - 20 grams.
• Jaggery - 250 grams.
• Milk - 500 ml.
• Moong dal (paitham paruppu) - 200 grams.
• Raisin - 50 grams.
• Saffron - few pinch.
• Water - req. .
Method:

1. fry the dal to golden brown in empty vessel, and bring to boil well in cooker with 2 part water. 2. smash the dal 3/4th smoothy paste. 3. mix the paste with milk and bring to boil well. 4. dissolve jaggery in hot water and filter it to remove the dirt, and add to the above step. 5. cook the mixture for 5 mins. 6. saute the nuts and raisins in ghee, and add to the above mixture. 7. finally add the saffron strands to mixture. And serve either hot or cool.
