Recipe of Pinapple Sweet Rice

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Cashewnuts, Fried In Ghee 12 Numbers
Saffron Little Dissolved In Warm Milk To Taste
Blanched Almonds Powder 1 Teaspoons
Ghee 4 Tablespoons
Sugar Or Powder 1/2 Cup
Fresh Pinapple 1/2 Numbers
Basmathi Rice 1 Cup
Pinapple Essence Few Pinch
Yellow Food Colour Few Pinch
Cardamom Powder 1 Pinch


  1. Wash and peel the skin and cut pinapple into very small pieces.
  2. Add sugar and cook in low flames with little water.
  3. When the pieces becomes soft remove from fire.
  4. Wash rice in cold water.
  5. Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan and fry rice for 2 minutes.
  6. Cook in 2 1/2 cups of boiling water.
  7. Reduce flame and cook till water evaporates.
  8. Add sugar syrup and pineapple pieces, almond powder, saffron to the rice.
  9. Mix well and add remaining ghee to the rice.
  10. Add cardamom powder,essence a few drops and stir well.
  11. When moisture is absorbed completely remove from fire.
  12. Decorate with fried cashew nuts, raisins and grated dry coconut powder.
  13. Serve hot or cold according to your wish..
