Recipe of Punjabi Lassi

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Ice Cubes 100 Grams
Cream 50 Grams
Yogurt 500 Grams
Sugar 150 Grams
Ruafza 1 Teaspoons
Rose Essence 3 Pinch

Directions

  1. Mix yogurt, ice cubes, sugar in a vessel and blend to a fine paste.
  2. In a tall glass, add 1 tsp ruafza, the above yogurt mix, sprinkle rose essence and chill it.
  3. Serve with cream on it.

Dear sanjay,

I want to try this recipe at home. But i wanna know what's this "ruafz" is...
I live in chennai..I tried in some dept stores , but in vain..I'd like to know if its necessary to add this ingredient to the lassi or is ther eany substitute to it..

u can find ruhafza in indian store. it is a juice mix.

Ruafza is a Rose Syrup easily available in Indian store.

Its ok for a change to add rose syrup, cream, kaju pista badam, but a good lassi is best made when the only ingredient is good yogurt and pure sugar and of course a hot summer afternoon
