Description: Puran poli is a sweetened roti/ chapati stuffed with a delicious sweet fillings made of channa dal and jaggery.

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Salt 1 Pinch
Cardamom Pods 2-3 Numbers
Oil Or Butter 2 Tablespoons
Rice Flour 1 Teaspoons
Suji Rava 1 Teaspoons
Maida 1 1/2 Cup
Jaggery 2 Cup
Chana Dal 2 Cup

Directions

  1. Boil channa dal and cook till it is well cooked and drain all water when hot ,and let it dry on paper towel if neededpowder it in food peocessoradd jagery to channa dal pdr and cook till thick ,
  2. flavor with cardamom pdrmake dough with maida,suji and rice flour add salt pinch andd butter or oil and make a smooth - soft doughstuff the channa dal sweet in the dough as shown , 
  3.  sweet mixture should be double the size of chapati dough press as shown and cook on a hot griddle enjoy warm for you festivals , can be eaten for few days

Hi thanks for the poran poli recipe. It was very helpful. I just love this. Can you please post your recipe for "Kalakand". I just saw the mango kalakand in your site. Can i take out the mango part, and do the rest of the process to get simple kalakand?? Thanks in advance.

6 months back I was a beginner in cooking but became an expert already .My hearty thanks to vahrehvah.com and Vah chef.
