Recipe of Ranith Gada

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Fish 2000 Grams
Mustard Oil 2 Cup
Red Chilli Powder 1 Tablespoons
Ginger Powder 2 Teaspoons
Turmeric 1 Teaspoons
Aniseed Powder 1 Teaspoons
Cloves 3 Numbers
Asafoetida A Pinch
Garam Masala 1 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
Salt To Taste


Clean and scrape out the fish nicely. Cut each fish into 3 pieces. Fry the fish pieces in oil till golden brown. Keep aside. Take a vessel and pour 1litre water, all the ingredients except garam masala and the oil left after frying the fish. Stir well and bring to a boil. Add fried fish pieces and cook on medium heat till the gravy thickens and oil separates. Sprinkle garam masala. Stir well and remove from fire. Serve with rice.
