1. First mix roasted rava(suji), salt and soda-bi-carbonate together in a big bowl. 2. In a pan add oil, add mustard, urud dal, channa dal,broken cashewnuts, chopped onions, chopped green chillies, curry leaves. 3. mix all the pan ingredience immediately from the fire to the rava (suji) 4. Heat the idly cooker with 2 cups of water, apply oil in the idly plates, spread the carrot (scarpped) on the idly plates. 5. Take two cups of the rava mixture separately and mix with beaten curd. mix well. the consistancy should be like normal idly flour. 6. Immediately after mixing spread on the idly plate and steam for 10 minutes in a high flame. 7. serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

Ingredients used in Rava Idly
• Curry leaves - 10 leaf.
• Urud dal - 2 tsb teaspoons.
• Musturd - 2 tsb teaspoons.
• Carrot (scrapped) - 3 nos numbers.
• Salt to taste - to taste to taste.
• Soda-bi-carbonate ( - 1 teaspoon teaspoons.
• Onions (nicely chopped) - 3/4 cup cup.
• Green chilles (grinded) - 5 to6 Nos. numbers.
• Curd (thick) sour - 2 cups cup.
• Rava (suji)(roasted) - 2 cups cup.
• Channa dal - 2 tsb teaspoons.
• Cooking oil - 5 tbsp tablespoons.
• Cashewnuts (broken - 10 nos numbers.

Ordinary Idly tastes good if u make with Rice n urad dal, the idly made with idly rava is andhra or karnataka version to save time/money in hotels, Authentic Idly should be made with rice
