Raw Tamarind and Red Chili Pickle

Ingredients used in Raw Tamarind and Red Chili Pickle
• Tamarind - 100 grams.
• Red chillies - 100 grams.
• Salt - 25 grams.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilli dry - 2 number.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Murstad seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Channa dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Uradal - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 5 number.
• Curry leaves - 8 number.
• Hing - pinch.
Method:
  • Take Tamarind remove the seeds blend to coarse paste and keep a side.
  • Now blend red chillies coarse and mix tamarind past, salt,turmeric, garlic, cumin seeds and blend again do not add any water.
  • For tempering in a pan add oil, murstard seeds,cumin seeds, urad dal, channa dal, garlic, mix will cook till the dal are slight brown colour, add red chilies, hing, curry leaves.Now add the tempering to blended pickle.

@djmisplacedmarblesTV The ingredient u mentioned is Asafoetida (in hindi its called 'hing'). Hope this helps.
