Ingredients used in Gauvar Beans with Coconut
• Cluster beans (gauvar beans) - 250 grams.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Onion chopped - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Green chili - 3 numbers.
• Coconut(grated) - 2-3 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 pinch.
• Coriander chopped - 1 tablespoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when mustard seeds splutter add cumin seeds, chopped onions, turmeric powder, salt, mix it well.
  • Add curry leaves, green chilies, add ground coconut, coriander powder, guar beans (boiled), then add garam masala powder, add some water cook this for some time and add chopped coriander then switch off the flame.

Now gauvar beans with coconut is ready to serve.

My mom makes this with coconut sometimes and also with besan or gram flour sometimes. Instead of coconut, you can add besan or gram flour. It tastes great too.
