Description : This dish is not popular in most parts of india but very well prepared in madurai,a city in tamilnadu. This rice is a great combination for non vegetarian dishes like chicken curry or mutton curry.

Directions | How to make Spicy Tomato Pulao
 
In a pressure cooker pour oil/ghee,add spices(preferred ones like bay leaves,cardamom etc),add ginger garlic paste and sort it till it becomes brown.chop the onions and blend it in to a fine paste and add to the pan.sort it till it slightly becomes brown.Add the chopped tomatoes and sort it and add chilly powder,turmeric powder,garam masala and salt and then add the finely washed rices and pour 3 cups of water and then close the pan and leave for 4 whistles.Now the rice should be garnished with chopped corriander leaves.
Recipe Tips Serving Ideas
Use ripened tomatoes if the tomatoes are not ripened little curd can be added.Basmati rice is preferred to do this dish. Serve with raitha or chicken or mutton curry.
