Ingredients used in SWEET BOLI
• Gingilly oil - 50 ml.
• Ghee - 1/2 cup.
• Cardamom powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Channa dhal(kadala paruppu) - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 1 cup.
• Maida - 1 cup.
• Salt - 1 teaspoons.
• Kesar color - 2 pinch.
Method:
mix maida, salt and kesar food color. Add little water and make a dough as we make for roti. Add gingelly oil and keep aside. check for skin and green channa and remove them. we should use only yellow dhall. Now add two cups of water to channa dhal and boil it. Make sure you dont over boil them. 3/4 boiling is ok. drain excess water and grind to fine paste. If required add very little water just one or two spoon will do. the dough should be thick so that you can roll them like laddu. now add sugar and powdered cardamom and grind for two minutes. again This should also be in a thick dough consistency. This is very important. divide this to 10 portions. Take the maida mix and divide to 10 portions. press the maida with your hand to make a small circle stuff the channa sweet dough in the center and close the maida and make a small ball use wooden board and rolling pin roll it to a thin chappathi make sure it comes out properely. use rice flour to dust. cook the chappathi on a thawa. Turn the other side to cook well until you get a good aroma Apply ghee according to your taste serve hot
