Recipe of Sweet Pongal

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Cashew 6-10 Numbers
Water 7 Cup
Jaggery 1 Cup
Pea Nuts 1 Cup
Rice 2 Cup

Directions

1. Roast the peanuts and grind them to a powder. 2. Wash the rice 2 times. 3. Boil the water and add the rice to it. Allow it cook 80%. 4. Now add the peanut powder to it. 5. After 2 minutes add the jaggery(Bellam) and keep stirring the rice often till the rice is cooked softly. 6. Add roasted cashew at the end. Serve this with ghee.
