Recipe of tamarind rice
|Mustard And Jeera||1/2 +1/2||Tablespoons|
|Turmeric Powder||1 1/2||Tablespoons|
|Tamarind||2 lemon size|
take 4 cups of cooked fluffy rice in a bowl add curry leaves,turmeric powder,salt and mix well and keep it aside. for tempering take a thick bottom vessel. put oil into it add mustard. as mustard starts crackling add jeera,add urad dal,break red chillies into two and now add only seeds ,add groundnuts,saute a little . as urad dal starts smelling add red chilli [we add first seeds and later remaining chilli to prevent blackening of red chilly ] after all the ingredients are done add tamarind paste to it. keep it on medium flame .let it cook until little dry. now add rice to it mix well.cover the vessel put it on low flame cook until fumes come out and mix once again cook until hot .can be served with curd any veg or non - veg curry.
do not use hot rice because hot rice will mash and becomes stiky while cooking
