thotakura-Amaranth fry is a deep fry which is a combination with rotis...or even rice....

Recipe of thotakura fry

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Red Chillies 6-7
Groundnut 2 tablespoons Tablespoons
Thotakura-Amaranth Leaves 3 bunches Bunch
Dry Coconut Powder 2 table spoon Tablespoons
Daniya Powder 1 tea spoon Teaspoons


1.chop the thotakura leaves and clean with water 2.masala: powder the groundnuts.garlic, redchillies,dry coconut powder.(dont add water). 3.Put the pan .heat 3 tablespoons of oil..when heated add urad dal. jeera, mustards, and curry leaves .... 4.then add finely chopped onions until golden brown. 5.add thotakura leaves and fry it in low flame...after 1/2 cooked add salt to taste 6.deep fry it as water oozes out...once it is dry add the mixture of groundnut.garlic,redchilli. 7.make sure u add this only when curry is dry... stir the fry in low flame. for 3-4 minutes.. 9.This fry is done and is serverd with chapatis and rice with ghee.. 10.can be store for 3-4 days


this is for KIDS ad thy like with hot rice with ghee....or chapatis....
