Turnips 1 Lbs
Onions 1/2 Lbs
Yoghurt 1/2 Cup
Poppy Seeds 3 Teaspoons
Oil 1/2 Cup
Sesame Seeds 3 Teaspoons
Coriander Seeds 3 Teaspoons
Chilly Powder 1 1/2 Teaspoons
Almonds 3 Teaspoons
Desiccated Coconut 3 Teaspoons
Garlic & Ginger, Ground 2 Teaspoons


• Roast the almonds, cococonut, seeds of poppy, sesame & coriander properly. • Make a fine paste. • Add yoghurt with garlic & ginger. • Cut turnip into small pieces. • Cut onion and fry it properly. • Fry the turnip pieces until light brown. • Add the prepared paste and fry it for few minutes. • Add water and cook until turnips become soft. • Put salt to taste. • Delicious shelghum korma is ready.
