Ingredients used in 3 Onion Soup
• Butter (cubes) - 4 number.
• Garlic - 9-10 number.
• Onions(finely chopped) - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• All purpose flour - 1 tea spoon.
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• White spring onions (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Pepper powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chicken stock / vegetable stock - 500 ml.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Mixed herbs - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Fried onions - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Green spring onion (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
Method:
  • Add 2 cubes of butter in a hot pan.
  • Now add garlic and finely chopped onions then saute it with little salt in it.
  • Add all purpose flour in it and mix it properly so that it doesn’t form any lump. Switch off the flame and transfer it in a blender to make a fine paste.
  • In the same pan, add 1 cube of butter, bay leaf, white spring onions, pepper powder and saute it.
  • Now add chicken stock, water, vinegar and let it boil.
  • Once it starts boiling add the above preapred paste and mix it thoroughly with salt in it.
  • Now add mixed herbs and sugar and cook for abou 5-6 minutes.
  • In a soup bowl, add fried onions, green spring onions and above prepared soup to serve it hot.
