The tea leaves are brewed in water along with ginger and then simmered for a few seconds in milk. It's a tea, that clears up your sinus and great when you have sore throat or a cold.

Ingredients used in Adrak Chai
• Milk - 3/4 cup.
• Sugar - to taste.
• Ginger - half piece.
• Tea leaves (loose tea) - 2 teaspoons.
• Aniseeds (sounf) - half tea spoon.
• Basil leaves (tulsi ke pattay) - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - 1/4 cup.
Method:
  • Put water in a small pot on medium heat.
  • To the water add the ginger, basil leaves and aniseeds.
  • And bring the water to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and let it simmer on medium heat for about 5 minutes with the pot partially covered.
  • Add the sugar, tea and milk to the water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for another minute.
  • Remove from heat. Strain tea.

Serve hot.
