Ingredients used in BANDA-KOPHEER TORKARI
• Cabbage, chopped finely - 1 numbers.
• Onion, chopped lengthwise - 1 numbers.
• Medium potatoes, cut into cubes - 2 numbers.
• Medium tomato - 2 numbers.
• Green peas - 1 cup.
• Ginger-garlic-green chilies paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Cumin seed - 1 teaspoons.
• Chili powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Bay leaves - 2 numbers.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cumin, coriander, garam masala powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Coriander chopped finely - to taste.
Fry the potatoes and keep aside.Heat oil, add bay leaves, cumin seeds, cardamom, onions, ginger-garlic-green chilies paste, cook till onions are pink in color. Add the cabbage, let it leave water and become soft. When soft, add the fried potatoes, cumin, coriander, garam masala powder, chili powder, peas, mix everything thoroughly, then add the tomatoes, and cover the pan for another 5-6 mins, do uncover in between check, whether the vegetable is sticking the pan or not. Lastly add coriander leaves for garnishing. (this recipe does not have gravy so cook it all the moisture is evaporated)
