Ingredients used in Beef Stew
• Water - 1/4 cup.
• Beef broth or beef consomme - 1 can.
• Whole corn - 1 15 oz.
• Tomato sauce - 1 15 can.
• Bell peppers, diced - 2 numbers.
• Coarsely chopped onion - 1 numbers.
• Margarine - 2 teaspoons.
• Olive oil - 1 teaspoons.
• Garlic cloves, crushed - 2 numbers.
• Five spice powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Paprika - 1 teaspoons.
• Lean stew beef - 1 1/2 lbs.
• Cornstarch - 2 teaspoons.
• Soy sauce - 2 teaspoons.
• Cooked noodles, your choice - 1 1/2 cup.
Method:
  1. Cut beef into bite size cubes,
  2. remove any fat or gristle that is still on it.nbsp;
  3. Sprinkle with paprika and allow to stand while preparing other ingredients.nbsp;
  4. Cook steak and garlic in oil and margarine until meat is brown.nbsp;
  5. Add onions and peppers; continue cooking until vegetables are wilted.nbsp;
  6. Add tomato sauce, broth,m corn, five spice powder; cover and simmer 45 minutes.
  7. nbsp;Blend water with cornstarch and soy sauce, stir into steak and cook until thickened.nbsp;
  8. Add cooked noodles, serve with toasted garlic bread, rolls, biscuits or corn bread.nbsp;
  9. Serves 4, or you can stretch this by using more cooked pasta.
